Dear Partners in Ministry,
At the beginning of this year, the Lord told us to let change happen. Later in our prayer group the Lord spoke to us through this prophetic word, “The winds will blow the clouds of contentment away. People will have to make decisions that will show their true colors. Contentment is a distraction to the work that needs to be done.”
God doesn’t want us locked into a non-adjustable routine. He wants us to be busy in His Kingdom, proclaiming and enforcing the reign of Jesus as King and overthrowing the control and plans of the kingdom of darkness. He wants to give us new assignments in these changing times. We must keep our eyes on Jesus and work with His wisdom. Isaiah 33:6 NKJ, tells us “Wisdom and knowledge will be the stability of your times....”
Daniel 2:20-23MKJV tells us, “…Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding. He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him. I thank You, and praise You, O God of my fathers, who has given me wisdom and might…”
His wisdom will instruct you to ask that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Ask Him to give you the heathen for an inheritance. His wisdom always contains the winning of souls to expand His Kingdom.
Things in the field are looking up as our excitement grows towards some new areas of ministry. Remote, unreached pueblos in Chihuahua are pulling hard on our hearts. Pastors Luis and Micaela Maulas plan to go into new virgin territory with us for further prayer and investigation.
Our sister churches in Sonora and Chihuahua are all showing a toughness and resiliency. They are standing as pillars of strength in their respective communities during these troubled times in Mexico. They are taking the responsibility in prayer for their towns and nation, all of them praying, many doing 24/7 prayer.
What is becoming known as Mexico’s drug war is fueled by appetites in the US demanding a flow of drugs to addicts and recreational users. Reaching people on both sides of the border is the only salvation to this mega problem.
Bobby and Miki’s work continues to grow in outreach and effectiveness as they send more laborers into the harvest. They have a record 47 students in the current term of El Shaddai. Besides their main classes, one of their co-workers is teaching the first El Shaddai classes in the prison with 15 students.
State side, we see phase II of Vision 2025 coming into view. We have begun prayer journeys into the Mesilla Valley where the Rio Grande exits New Mexico and makes its entrance into Texas. From further north, we continue to pray for open doors of ministry to Native Americans as hungry hearts among them call out for the reality of the Great Spirit. Oh, that we might help them find the Creator, of the creation some worship. (See map below, there are 46 tribes on US side of the border.)
Thank you for co-laboring with us in the work of the ministry by your prayers and support.
We love and pray for you.
In His Fields,
Calvin and Barbara
