In Genesis 28 Abraham’s grandson had an encounter with God in verses 16-17 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I did not know it." (It is possible for the Lord to be present and for us to not be aware of it.) 17 And he was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! (Anywhere we meet God and hear His voice is awesome!) This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven!"

We often think of God’s house as the church where we meet, but Jacob said this is the house of God (the place where he met God). There was no building, no organization. There was just Jacob and God.  There was a flow of the supernatural passing between heaven and earth.

Because of the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit, man has become God’s dwelling place on the earth. I Corinthians 3:16 NKJV Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?

Ephesians 2:21-22 NKJV in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

God’s house is mobile.  Everywhere we go we carry the presence of God and the purpose is to transform the world around us. We need to invite the Holy Spirit to go with us wherever we go and be aware of His presence within us and upon us.

Jesus said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me. When Jesus comes and dwells within us, we also become the gate of heaven to the world. We need to transform our minds to the magnitude of what we received at salvation and who we became as God’s dwelling place.

Ephesians 1:18-19 NKJV the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power.

A gate is a place of transition and access. We drive through a gate to enter our property. In the same way, when we talk about the Church being the gate of heaven, we are referring to the place where the reality of God’s Kingdom becomes available for all mankind. We are God’s ambassadors of restoration, wholeness, and healing.

Jesus told us in Matthew 6:10 to pray that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven. This is the Gospel, in a nutshell, to bring the power and glory of heaven to this earth.

Matthew 16:19 tells us that the gates of hell will not prevail against the church. We are not on the defense, but on the offense. We are opening the gates and releasing the increase of Heaven’s transformative dominion on earth. That’s what happens every time someone is born again, delivered from demonic oppression, or healed.

We often ask, what is God’s will for my life? Matthew 10:7-8 NKJV tells us And as ye go, preach, saying, the kingdom of heaven is at hand. 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

Wherever we go and whatever we do our primary purpose is to preach and demonstrate the Kingdom. This is normal Christianity in action. Jesus’ life consisted of both preaching and power, with one not overruling the other.

Our minds need to be transformed to embrace what is ours in Christ. We need to elevate our perspective to embrace what Jesus commissioned us to do. Everything else will flow from that core revelation.

We shouldn’t just be people who believe God’s Word, but people who put the will of God on display, so others will realize, “Oh, so that’s what God is like”.  Healing and deliverance and restoration do much more than solve the immediate problem; they give people a demonstration of who God is.

Romans 12:2 NKJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The mind and how we think are vital keys to walking a supernatural lifestyle. Our mind is not our enemy. It is the un-renewed thought pattern that needs to be transformed and shaped to align with God’s thinking.

When operating in agreement with God, the mind is a powerful asset, enabling believers to think from Heaven’s perspective and live a supernatural lifestyle.

We send a BIG THANK YOU to all the amazing people who helped sponsor this year’s (2022) Christmas Outreaches. Through your gifts, we were able to help 10,000 children in Mexico, in the states of Sonora, Chihuahua, and Sinaloa.

SONORA

Jose and Marylu De la Torre and their church, Agua Viva had a big Christmas program outreach in Agua Prieta, Sonora. They also took a team to do programs in the Sierra Altas of northern Sonora and did Christmas programs in eight different pueblos in that region. The grand finale was a big service at their home church on Christmas Eve for Noche Buena (Holy Night).

SONORA AND SINALOA

In the Navojoa region, Felipe and Carmen Vasquez, our Faith Ministries representatives there, led a team that included people from 64 churches. They reached 80 pueblos, in mostly small rural areas in Sonora and Sinaloa, and blessed 6,500 children with the love of God and gift bags.

CHIHUAHUA

Micaela Jacquez in Chihuahua took Christmas programs to several rural areas where there is a lot of poverty and need. Tarahumara Indians were at some of the programs. They even did one program at a public school.

SONORA

In the Cumpas area, we were able to help eight pastors in thirteen pueblos present Christmas programs. Ruben and Maria Serrato distributed the Christmas supply to the pastors.

Since 1985, Faith Ministries has blessed over 336,500 children at Christmas.
