Prophetic Word - There is a Mighty God

Jesus the Healer

from Calvin

I love history. One of the reasons I daily read from God’s Holy Word is because of my appreciation for history, and the Bible is our most accurate recording of ancient history. I love the way it brings history right up to date and connects me to it.

My wife, Barbara Ann Mason Scott, has a very interesting family history. I recently came across a story from her great grandfather, Dr. W. H. Mason. Dr. Mason moved from Newkirk, OK, to our hometown of Estancia, NM, in 1907. His son Forrest used to chauffer Dr. Mason around the valley in horse and buggy.

On one very cold and dreary winter night, a call came in from a sick woman some distance into the countryside. As Dr. Mason asked his son to prepare for their journey, young Forrest said, “Why go out there? You’re sick, and besides, they won’t pay you!”

Dr. Mason very indignantly said, “Young man, there’s more to this life than money. That lady is sick. I am a physician, and she needs me. Of course, I’ll go!”

As I read this bit of history, my first thought was, that’s the kind of doctor Jesus is! This took me to Matthew 8:5-13. In verse 5 Jesus said to the Roman Centurion that requested healing for his sick servant: “I will come and heal him.”

As the record shows, the Centurion, a man under authority thereby having authority, was content with Jesus simply speaking a word of healing towards his sick servant. He knew the power and authority of Jesus’ spoken Word would heal the servant.

Many a great sermon has been built and preached on the revelation of authority. As I refreshed these thoughts, a new thought illuminated my revelation receptor

Now, I’m thinking, WOW! That Centurion had the revelation that sickness and disease have ears. So, whatever was grievously tormenting the servant,  heard and obeyed the voice of Jesus.

I have a homemade study guide showing the will of God to heal through 94 Old Testament scriptures and 89 New Testament scriptures.

Not only am I going to amend my study guide, but I now believe I need to adjust the way I pray for people as the Spirit directs me in certain situations.

Our Lord Jesus used various methods and formulas to apply healing to the sick.

To name a few, He spoke and sent His Word, He put spit mud in a man’s eyes, He touched the sick, He allowed the sick to touch Him, He encouraged the sick to use their own faith, His compassion compelled Him to heal many. The list goes on.

Jesus desires to heal us to such a degree that He allowed His body to be beaten to the bone. I Peter 2:24 NKJV “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

Let’s not overly concern ourselves with how He will heal us. He knows the best method for our individual situations. Our part is to believe beyond He can, to believing that He will, because He has!”

If we’re ever tormented by disease, we can speak to it in the name of Jesus. Disease has ears, so let’s tell it to go. It has no right to afflict our person.

Mexican VBS's - Happening Now

Faith Ministries has been sponsoring children’s outreaches for the past 30 years. In July and August, many children will be attending VBS Outreaches that we sponsor.

Statistics show that 80% of people who are born again received Jesus before they were 18.

These children spend a week immersing in God’s Word. Many of those children will meet Jesus as their Savior for the first time.

These programs present the Gospel in a way that makes it attractive and fun to hear and memorize God’s Word.

Many of these children don’t attend a Christian church, so it is a special opportunity to not only sow God’s Word in their hearts but to send it home to their families as well.

Thank all of you who sponsor these special activities. May the seed that you’ve sown return a great harvest back to you.

Here are a few pictures from some of this year's VBS programs, which will continue into August.

Jesus Loves Us   JESUS ITOM NAKKE   Jesús Nos Ama

Jesus Itom Nakke means, Jesus Loves Us, in Mayo.

Faith Ministries directors in the Navojoa, Sonora region, Carmen and Felipe Vasquez, have started a weekly ministry outreach with the Mayo children. They feed them a meal, have Bible lessons, pray with the children, and have games. The word that is being planted in their hearts is good seed that will produce a great harvest in their communities.

Many of the ministries in that region have been doing the same thing for a while. They have a service with teachings and handcrafts, and then end with a meal for the children. They are building up a young army of mighty warriors.

We were at one of these meetings where one of the children got up to read a Bible story. The anointing got all over her and she laid the book down and began to preach a message of who we are in Christ and the good plans He has for us.

This precious little girl had taken her Bible lessons to heart. We were astonished as we watched her yield to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. It was as if she was transformed from a little giggling girl to a bold proclaimer of God’s Word.

Changing Seasons

from Barbara

Daniel 2:21 tells us God changes the times and the seasons…

While God and His Word never change, He often surprises people in the manner that He moves. Be open to change. The Holy Spirit is compared to a river. A river flows. He is also compared to the wind. The wind blows. When God’s glory is manifested, we don’t want to build a tabernacle and stay there. We want to continue moving forward with the Lord.

When God changes the season to do new things, there is a time of transition that can be difficult. You are leaving behind what is familiar and going into the unknown.

There was a transition for the children of Israel from slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land. The greatest transition was from the old covenant to the new covenant. Jesus was the bridge between the two. The disciples were expecting a natural kingdom to be established and didn’t yet understand that Jesus was establishing a spiritual Kingdom.

3 Phases of Transition

Ending of something – You can’t get there until you leave here. II Cor. 3:18 says we’re being changed from glory to glory.

Strongholds are breaking – they resist – cause frustration. The strongholds can be in our mindset, in the mindset of the church or community. They also can be demonic.

Crossing over place – to the new - to the promised.

Ways to Avoid trouble in Times of Transition

Don’t try to control other people. Don’t take things into your own hands. Wait on God’s timing. Don’t look back. Don’t talk about the good old days. Press forward with your eyes on the promise.

Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14  I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Prophetic Word

Received by Barbara Scott

Behold the Word of the Lord shall not be stilled.
The Word of the Lord shall go forth
Even as the waters run, so shall My Word go forth.
And who shall stop it?
And who shall stand in its way?
It will flow from the high places with such a force,
That the people of the land will
KNOW there is a mighty God,
Powerful in all His ways.
The rumble of this river will be heard from afar.
And nothing can stop it
And no one can stand in its way.
Prepare yourselves and be ready for that day,
For when it starts it will not go away.
It will come in the night, but continue in the day.
Be ready says the Lord for I will have My way.
